"Embarking on the journey to create Happy Through Nature: Inclusive, sustainable, luxury travel."
ABOUT US VIDEO COMING SOON
Welcome to Happy Through Nature!
At Happy Through Nature, we are Josh and Sarah, and of course, we can't forget to introduce our beloved crusty old pup, Chester! He keeps us in line;) We have a shared love for nature and a vision to create a truly inclusive and accessible experience for all. We want to invite you to join us on this extraordinary journey of adventure, connection, and rejuvenation.
While we haven't built our dream glamping and camping site yet, we are excited to take you along every step of the way as we bring this vision to life, we call the area “Croaks Hollow”. We believe in transparency and the power of learning from our mistakes. Through this process, we aim to grow and improve, creating a space that truly embodies the essence of accessibility and inclusivity. In our pursuit of creating an inclusive and immersive nature experience, we also have embarked on an exciting journey of building a small cabin called "The Toad Mahall." As we live within its cozy walls, we are not only embracing a simpler, self-sustaining life but also using it as a platform to learn the art of construction and sustainable living.
Josh, with over 20 years of experience in the TV industry, has traveled the world, filming outdoor adventures and various reality TV shows. Growing up on an 80-acre property in central Alberta, he developed a deep connection with the great outdoors and a desire to share this connection with others.
Sarah, a compassionate nurse with 16 years of experience, has dedicated her career to caring for individuals with various needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, developmental disabilities, and degenerative conditions. Her caring nature and belief in the healing power of nature have inspired us to create an inclusive space where all individuals can find solace and joy.
Combining our expertise and shared passion, we are on a mission to provide a breathtaking and accessible getaway on our property outside of Nakusp, BC just off Summit Lake. Croaks Hollow will include fully accessible "glamping" tents, nestled in the heart of a beautiful garden area. With a focus on education, guests can learn about plants, flowers, gardening, and even experience the captivating Western Toad which is the inspiration for the name of the cabin and glamping area.
Through our outdoor cooking experiences, guests can indulge in the basics of off-grid living while connecting with the land and its abundance. Our location alongside the Kootenay ‘Rails to Trails’ offers easy accessibility, allowing everyone to explore and immerse themselves in the natural wonders that surround us.
We believe that nature has the power to heal, rejuvenate, and unite us all. At Happy Through Nature, we aim to share this belief by fostering a space where everyone, regardless of abilities or limitations, can experience the beauty of nature. As we build this dream together, we invite you to be a part of our journey, sharing in our successes, learning from our challenges, and growing with us.
With your support, we hope to make our dream a reality, providing an unforgettable experience for our guests. Join us at Happy Through Nature as we embark on this incredible adventure, creating memories, fostering connections, and discovering the true happiness that nature brings.
